We are in August and many of you should already enjoy your summer vacations. If you are either in the middle of the sea/ocean or about to leave for your holidays or you still have to wait until September to go on vacation, we are sure that you would not mind reading about some of the best sailing travel options for this Summer.

We made a list of 8 destinations that are very different from one another, but they are all perfect in terms of weather for a Summer holiday.

Aeolian Islands (Sicily, Italy)

The famous volcanic islands that are also called “The Mediterranean seven pearls” will surprise you with their famous beauty and uniqueness. Alicudi and Filicudi are the most ancient islands and are perfect to relax surrounded by their wild nature. On the other hand, Panarea is for Young people, especially due to its nightlife, while Lipari, thanks to the presence of the pumice stone and the blue of its sea, will gift your unforgettable sunrises. Finally, in Solina you could taste the “nectar of the gods” or the Malvasia wine and, if you are lucky enough, in Stromboli and Vulcano, you could admire the lava flows.

Lofoten Islands and Vestarelen (Norway)

A sailing trip to Norway is something far from mainstream holidays and, therefore, it may turn into a special experience. Your eyes could get lost among the wild nature of the North, where mountains meet the sea. Norwegian islands are perfect for those who look for adventure and, at the same time, for nature lovers. On Verstarelen you sail while doing whale-watching all year long. However, this kind of trip is advisable to be done during Summer, when the sun shines until midnight.

Sardinia (Italy)

If you decide to go for a sailing trip in Sardinia, among the most beautiful choices there is the Maddalena Archipelago. Here you could find many hidden bays that most of the time can only be reached by sea. You can also swim in the natural swimming pools on the Budelli island and enjoy the uniqueness of the Pink beach (the name derives from the sand color). Caprera, Spargi, and Lavezzi can offer you magical sunsets and skies full of stars. In a few minutes of sailing, you can reach San Bonifacio, located in Corsica, which offers a completely different landscape compared to the North Sardinia one: the sea is blue and has rocky coasts.

Corfù (Greece)

Corfù is the closest Greek island to Italy. If you decide to go on a sailing trip there, you can admire the crystal-clear beaches but also go sightseeing thanks to the island’s history and culture. As a matter of fact, its chief town is under the Unesco patrimony. Sailing through the south, you will see the Antipaxos island. In the north, especially on Paxos island, you could have fun while searching for the most hidden beaches.

Mallorca (Spain)

Mallorca offers incredible nightlife which makes it the perfect destination for a single sailing trip. Apart from its nightlife, Mallorca has beautiful sunsets that will take your breath away and could help you find your soulmates. A sailing trip to Mallorca is ideal to go snorkeling and enjoy a day between its bays and islands after passing a wild nightlife. If you are looking for a partying sailing trip that can be compared to Ibiza and Formentera, you could count on Mallorca.

Cote d’Azur (France)

Nice, Saint Tropez, Cannes: the beauty of the French coast can only be highlighted by a sailing trip. It is therefore a vacation that offers slow rhythms and a bit of romanticism. Apart from the well-known places of the Cannes Cinema Festival and fashion, the Cote d’Azur has also wide beaches and hidden bays. It is a mix of cities and sea that appears in a painting.

Croatia

Croatia is becoming a trendy destination, especially due to its tons of islands that are perfect to be reached by a sailing boat. You could enjoy the luxurious landscapes and natural parks that will conquer you thanks to their uniqueness, the small fishermen’s villages, and the most partying cities such as Dubrovnik, Seebenico, and Spalato.

French Polynesia

A sailing trip to Polinesia allows you to discover a dreamy destination. It all looks like Heaven: crystal-clear water, thin sand, and wild nature. Moreover, there are plenty of adventures that can make your holiday an unforgettable one.
