Description

The Jefa DD-1 direct actuator is highly robust, compact, and more efficient than the corresponding hydraulic or electromechanical units.
The maximum torque of 150 kgM is equivalent to a force of 150 kg applied to the end of a 1-meter-long bar. This actuator is suitable for boats from 30′ to 45′ feet in overall length,
(or with 150 Kgm maximum torsion load on the rudder) equipped with a standard mechanical wheelhouse that can be retro-operated.

The system of connection to the rudder shaft is based on the principle of variable gearing: thanks to the two arms of different lengths, with connecting rod, the system becomes progressively more multiplied as the angle of the tiller increases.
