Jefa 100 Series Pedestals

The classic goblet shaped column is characterized by a new design, elegant and modern.
Essential accessories such as the guardrail and the compass binnacle are no longer optional, but are integrated as standard.
The careful finishing does not allow any screws to appear, not even for the fixing to the deck.
The numerous technical features distinguish this column from competing products:
– All parts are made of aluminium alloy EN 6082
– The axial friction brake is effective and progressive.
– The wheel axle bearing is sealed with a special seal developed by Jefa (PUR) that is UV-resistant and does not contain any metal parts that are subject to corrosion.
– The 100 series columns can accept either brake, “RP” or transmission systems.
Various versions of the 100 Series Column are available, with or without motor control, and with straight or extended guardrail for instrument mounting.
The fixing system to the base of the rail for the “100” series column is unique in the world, as it is obtained through the use of male inserts inside the stainless steel tubes.
This allows the passage of cables and also ensures a perfect seal.
Type 1 is fixed with the screw when no cable crosses the deck.
Type 2 allows the passage of motor and electric cables.
Type 3 replaces type 2 to order in the event of a thicker thermowell bottom.

Jefa 150 Series Pedestals

The new 150 series offers an innovative line characterized by a new design, elegant and modern.
Essential accessories such as the guardrail and the compass binnacle are integrated as standard, while several options are available regarding the possibilities of integration of the instrumentation.
The particularly accurate finishing does not allow any screws to appear, not even for the fixing to the deck. The numerous technical features distinguish this column from competing products:

– All parts except the binnacle are in aluminium EN 6082
– The axial friction brake is effective and progressive.
– The wheel axle bearing is sealed with a special seal developed by Jefa (PUR) that is UV-resistant and does not contain any metal parts that are subject to corrosion.
– The 150 series columns can accept either brake, “RP” or transmission systems.

Jefa 200, 300 and 400 Series Pedestals

With this new generation of columns all functions are within reach of the helmsman.
The robust aluminium body does not have any fixing holes which could cause structural weakening, water ingress or corrosion. A large groove around the input shaft support prevents all water infiltration.
The 25mm stainless steel tube arch is fixed at four points at the front, thus freeing up more space for the instruments.
The motor control lever is attached to the base and not to the column head, which allows the electronics to be mounted on the column head separately. The 400 series column also accepts the installation of a large radar screen.
The motor panel can be installed in the part behind the protection arc.
These columns can receive either brake systems, “RP” transmission systems, transmission systems or hydraulic systems.

Jefa 700 Series Racing Pedestals

The WP700 column represents Jefa’s response to the growing number of boats with double steering. The WP700 “racing” is a robust, , lightweight and space-saving steering column.
It is entirely made of high strength aluminium alloy EN6082, and is specially designed for the brake system.
This construction results in a relatively low weight (5.5 Kgs) and a rigid and robust construction.
Thanks to the extremely flexible construction method, the height and angle of the column are variable.

Jefa 710 Series Racing Pedestals

The WP710 column represents Jefa’s response to the growing number of boats with double steering. The WP710 “racing” is a robust, reliable, lightweight and space-saving steering column.
It is entirely made of high strength aluminium alloy EN6082, and is specially designed for the brake system.
This construction results in a relatively low weight (4.8 Kgs) and a rigid and robust construction.
Thanks to the extremely flexible construction method, the height and angle of the column are variable.

The WP800 column represents Jefa’s response to the growing number of boats with double steering. The WP800 “racing” is a robust, reliable, lightweight and space-saving steering column.

Jefa Series WP 850 “A-frame” Pedestals

The WP850 “A-frame” column solution is Jefa’s response to the continuing demand from a growing number of cruise liners for a durable, lightweight, reliable and modern column.
The column is made entirely of high-strength 6082 aluminium. The result of this method of construction is a column that weighs little (7.5 kg) but very strong and rigid.
The WP850 column is available in heights from 400 mm to 800 mm (distance from the centre of the wheelhouse to the bridge).
