Linear Actuator for Autopilot mod. LD100 (20′ to 40′)

The Jefa Autopilot linear actuator is extremely robust and compact and more efficient than the corresponding hydraulic or electromechanical units.
With a thrust of 400 Kg on 250mm of arm, it is certainly more powerful than any helmsman (the maximum achievable torque of 100 KgM, is equivalent to a force of 100 Kg applied to the end of a boom of 1 meter in length)
and is designed for continuous service 24 hours a day with a total weight of only 6.6 Kg. The compact electric motor with winding, thro

ugh the connection to a gearbox with satellites, guarantees an ultra efficient drive, reducing to a minimum the recharge time of the batteries. This actuator can be used on boats from 20′ to 40′ of overall length, (or with 100 Kgm of maximum torsion load on the rudder) equipped with a common mechanical wheelhouse that can be retro-operated.

Thanks to the telescopic connecting rod, the overall dimensions are as small as possible. In the images below you can see the minimum, the average and the maximum extension.

Direct actuator type I 150 Kgm ( 30′ – 45′)

The Jefa DD-1 direct actuator is extremely robust and compact and more efficient than the corresponding hydraulic or electromechanical units.
The maximum torque of 150 kgM is equivalent to a force of 150 kg applied to the end of a 1 metre long bar. This actuator is suitable for boats from 30′ to 45′ feet overall length,
(or with 150 Kgm maximum torsion load on the rudder) equipped with a common mechanical wheelhouse that can be retro-operated.
The system of connection to the rudder shaft is based on the principle of variable gearing: thanks to the two arms of different lengths, with connecting rod, the system becomes progressively more multiplied as the angle of the tiller increases. The installation is very simple and allows to solve brilliantly any type of installation.

Direct Drive Type II 375 Kgm (45′ – 55′)
Direct Drive Type III 525 Kgm (50′ – 70′)

The Jefa DD-2 and DD-3 direct drives are among the most powerful and robust in the world and are more efficient than the corresponding hydraulic units.
They are suitable for boats equipped with a common mechanical steering system that can be retro-operated.
The DU-DD2-12 model has a maximum torque of 375 kgM, equivalent to a force of 375 kg applied to the end of a 1 metre boom and it is suitable for boats from 45′ to 55′.
The DU-DD3-12 model has a maximum torque of 525 kgM, and is suitable for boats from 50′ to 70′. Like the smaller model DD1, the connection system to the rudder shaft is based on the principle of variable gearing:
thanks to the two arms of different lengths, with connecting rod, the system becomes progressively more multiplied as the rudder angle increases.

Actuators for Jefa transmission systems (12/24 V)

Jefa autopilot actuators for transmission systems are the most compact in the world.
The DU-TS8-12 (12 V) model has a torque of 200 Nm, equivalent to 40 kg on the outer ring of a wheel of 1 metre diameter and is suitable for boats from 30′ to 60′, equipped with Jefa transmission steering system
(maximum effort on the rudder shaft 525 Kgm).

Rotary actuators for cable systems (12/24 V)
Jefa autopilot actuators for cable systems are the most compact in the world.
The DU-WS200-12 model has a torque of 200 Nm, equivalent to 40 kg on the outer ring of a wheel with a diameter of 1 metre and is suitable for boats from 30′ to 50′, equipped with a cable steering system
(maximum effort on the rudder shaft 165 Kgm).
The model DU-WS300-24 has a torque of 300 Nm, equivalent to 50 kg on the outer ring of a wheel of 1 meter in diameter and is suitable for boats from 45′ to 75′, equipped with Jefa transmission steering system
(maximum effort on the rudder shaft 400 Kgm).
When mounting on a surface parallel to the chain is not possible, an optional bracket allows a valid and quick installation. The slotted holes on the flanges make it easier to tension the chain.
